Père Michel Christmas Giveaway 2026
Organized by Sapin Chez Michel,
Jean-Talon Market, Montreal, Quebec.
1. Contest period
The contest begins on November 10, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. and ends on December 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., Montreal time.
2. Eligibility
Open to Quebec residents aged 18 or older.
Owners and employees of Sapin Chez Michel and their immediate family members are not eligible.
3. How to enter
No purchase necessary. To enter, complete the official contest form on this page free of charge during the contest period.
Limit one entry per person. Entrants must provide accurate and valid contact information.
Duplicate, automated or fraudulent entries may be rejected following reasonable verification.
The "Referred by" field is optional. Selecting a staff member does not affect the odds of winning.
Subscribing to promotional emails is not required to enter.
4. Prizes
Three (3) prizes will be awarded to three (3) different winners.
Each prize includes:
- One Christmas tree of choice from Sapin Chez Michel, with a maximum value of CAD $150.00, before taxes;
- One Chez Michel beanie, valued at CAD $19.99, before taxes;
- Complimentary delivery of the tree and beanie to an eligible address within Sapin Chez Michel's delivery area, if requested by the winner. Regular value: CAD $10.99, before taxes.
Applicable taxes on the complimentary prize components will be fully covered by Sapin Chez Michel.
The maximum approximate value of each prize, including optional delivery, is CAD $180.98 before taxes. The maximum approximate value of all three prizes is CAD $542.94 before taxes.
Winners may choose from the Christmas tree varieties and sizes available during the 2027 Christmas season.
If the selected tree costs more than $150.00 before taxes, the winner may pay the difference and any applicable taxes on that difference.
If the selected tree costs less than $150.00, no unused amount will be refunded or retained as credit.
Prizes are awarded in kind and cannot be exchanged for cash or converted into gift cards.
5. Random draw
Three (3) random draws will take place on November 1, 2027 from all eligible entries received during the contest period.
Each person may win only once. A selected entrant will be excluded from subsequent draws.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
6. Winner confirmation
Selected entrants will be contacted by email or telephone using the information provided upon entry.
Each selected entrant will have seven (7) days from the first notification to respond.
Before being officially declared a winner, the selected entrant must confirm eligibility and correctly answer an unaided mathematical skill-testing question.
If a selected entrant fails to respond within the deadline, declines the prize or does not meet the eligibility requirements, another draw may be conducted.
7. Prize pickup and delivery
Prizes will be awarded during the 2027 Christmas season.
Each winner may collect their tree and beanie free of charge at the Sapin Chez Michel kiosk at Jean-Talon Market in Montreal.
Winners may also request free delivery to an eligible address within Sapin Chez Michel's usual delivery area.
Regular delivery fees of CAD $10.99 plus taxes will be fully covered by Sapin Chez Michel.
The pickup or delivery date and arrangements will be coordinated with each winner, subject to availability during the 2027 season.
Winners who choose pickup will not receive any cash compensation for unused delivery.
8. Personal information
Personal information collected through the form will be used to administer the contest, verify entries, conduct the draws and contact selected entrants.
The staff member voluntarily selected in the "Referred by" field may be used for internal participation statistics.
Marketing subscriptions are separate from contest entry and subject to applicable consent requirements.
Information will be handled according to Sapin Chez Michel's privacy policy and applicable laws.
9. General conditions
Sapin Chez Michel may verify entry eligibility and take reasonable measures to prevent abuse and fraudulent entries.
Any necessary changes to the contest will be made in accordance with applicable laws and participants' rights.
